“We as humans experience feelings such as pleasure, disgust or repulsion, sadness or grief, and solitude. Our faces show (or are) these things, more than any other part of our bodies.”                                                         Lacey McKinney McKinney finds the dynamics of human relationships fascinating. She contemplates the face as the conveyor and reflection of our deepest emotions. Her paintings, for the most part close-ups of women’s faces, portray the depth of emotions she has observed in her sitters. Each painting focuses on a person she has known for most of her life.
