Juan Perdiguero
Juan Perdiguero, was born in 1963 in Madrid, Spain. His academic
credentials include Doctoral Studies in Fine Arts,

Complutense de Madrid an M.F.A. in painting
State University of New
York at Buffalo and a B.F.A. in Art Conservation and Painting,
Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He now lives and works in New
York, where he is a professor of drawing at SUNY, Oswego.
Perdiguero exhibits nationally and internationally in numerous solo
and group exhibitions at commercial galleries, alternative artspaces
and museums.His work has been extensively reviewed by art publications
and newspapers including The New York Times, The New Yorker, El Pais
(Spain)and NY Arts.
Perdiguero brings together concepts of photography, drawing, painting
and printmaking in his work in a sophisticated and contemporary
interpretation of the Spanish Baroque tradition, one of his major
influences.
