Activist, street artist and designer, Josh MacPhee curated this major collection of politically and socially engaged contemporary printmaking:
200 works in a multitude of methods from lithography to intaglio, monotype, photography, silk screen, serigraph and stencilling.
Some of the international artists included are Kurt Webb, Swoon, Eric Triantafillou, Andalusia Knoll and Christopher Cardinale.
Having already traveled to more than a dozen cities across America, including Seattle, Portland and Brooklyn, the show will go on to London this December.
To quote Josh MacPhee:“It is no longer enough today to lock ourselves in our studios and produce culture. We must engage in our world in as many ways as possible.”
The 2005 catalog has long since been sold out and a new edition, expanded and redesigned, will be available shortly.
